Redskew art by Amanda Freja Johanson

My name is Amanda Freja Johanson and I’ve been living and creating in Chicago for over 25 years. After careers in architecture and fashion, I've embraced abstract, art as my primary expression. My work explores the continuum of chaos and order, and the interpretation of logic and magick.
These principles are integral to both process and product, by way of an intuitive creative process and dialogue with the work. I frequently work in series for my smaller works, allowing for space and time for the chaos and order to find balance, not unlike nature.
Always seeking. Inspired by geometry, horror, magick and the persistence of the human spirit.
